30 May 2013

In embracing the Vicinitee platform, Hammerson will be able to efficiently maintain and manage all their digital assets from a centralised, single on-line interface.  The platform is operating at all shopping centres within the portfolio, including Bullring in Birmingham and London’s Brent Cross.

Vicinitee Managing Director, Scott Knight, said: “We have enhanced the digital and mobile user experience by creating mobile optimised versions of all the centre websites.  Working in partnership with Hammerson, together we have redefined and set a new benchmark for quality shopping centre web and mobile sites, considerably enhancing the user experience.”

Stephen Brown, Marketing Director for Hammerson, said: “We have invested significant resource in creating mobile enabled sites for our centres across a single platform.  Our consumers expect the digital experience in our centres to be effortless and utilising the right technology is fundamental to the continued success of our schemes.  Vicinitee will undoubtedly make a significant contribution to the digital side our business which is such a major growth sector.”

Vicinitee already provides integrated software solutions to some of the most prestigious commercial and retail developments in the UK, including Heron Tower, Central Saint Giles, 30 St Mary Axe, Cannon Place, The Crown Estate and One New Change.

Digital marketing is a growing part of the business, with Customer Relationship Management (CRM), website development and management, mobile applications and interactive touch screen kiosks proving increasingly popular with customers.

Outside London, Vicinitee is also expanding its presence in the key regional markets, with Spinningfields in Manchester, Liverpool ONE, Aberdeen’s Union Square and George House in Glasgow among the company’s roster of clients.
